She works primarily with cotton, linen, and polyester fleece fabrics. I particularly love her woodland animal designs – this orange polka dot fox pillow is just adorable! This week’s featured Etsy shop is Past Your Porchlight in Ontario, Canada. I found this shop by complete accident while creating my Snowy treasury last week! Shop owner Jessie Cunningham creates handmade soft sculptures and plush toys in the most adorable animal shapes. Her items are made with a variety of materials including heirloom quality wool blend felt, polyester felt, faux fur, and deer suede. I can’t help it – I’m totally in love with the badger sculpture above! Visit her shop to learn more.
This week’s featured Etsy shop is Fancy Felt in Moscow, Russia. Shop owner Tanya creates amazing crossbody bags, clutches, totes, and other accessories in bold colors and geometric shapes. These stylish pieces are made with high quality Spanish wool felt and soft genuine leather. I especially love the purple clutch shown in this photo.
This week’s featured Etsy shop is JuLVa in Riga, Latvia. Shop owner Julija Vareiko creates handmade hair accessories inspired by the Japanese art of tsumami kanzashi. Before this week, I had never even heard of kanzashi. Now, I am enthralled by it. Meaning ‘folded fabric hair ornaments’ according to Wikipedia, tsumami kanzashi are traditionally made from tiny squares of silk that are folded into petals using origami techniques. In this shop, Julija uses primarily grosgrain ribbon. I find myself looking very closely at the full size photos of her items just to see the intricate details. I can only imagine the kind of patience that she has to have to create such beautiful work!
This week’s featured Etsy shop is Watson Woodworks in Pueblo, Colorado. Shop owner Eugene Watson creates handmade wooden jewelry boxes using exotic and domestic hardwoods. His work is unique, creative, meticulous. My favorite item is the helical box in granadillo and curly maple. Simply beautiful.

Her work is simple, clean, amazing. I simply cannot choose a favorite item from her shop, there are just too many beautiful pieces.
This week’s featured Etsy shop is Maven Metals in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. Shop owners Julie and Ben create personalized hand stamped metal jewelry and gifts. My favorite items are the latitude longitude GPS leather bracelets. Maybe I should order one stamped with the coordinates of my family’s farm in upstate New York. My heart will always be at home there after all.
